Remember
I was looking through my Spain pictures the other day. I came across some neat pictures. That is such a wonderful memory. I must say, The Camino is one of the greatest things I've ever done.

Its over?
I can't believe my college career is over. It is so many emotions all rolled in to one. Maybe if I listen to this song over and over again, I'll start to believe it.
The only way for me to put the song on here was to use a random youtube video. This girl has a pretty good voice though.
I'm Not Afraid of Anything
Jennie's afraid of water
I mean she swims so well
But still
She's afraid of water
And so she won't go near the sea
Not me
Katie's afraid of darkness
I mean she sleeps and all
But still
She's afraid of darkness
So when the lights are out she has to hold my hand
I don't understand
I'm not afraid of anything
Be it mountains, water, dragons, dark or sky
I'm not afraid of anything
Tell me where's the challenge if you never try
So watch me fly
I'm not afraid
Daddy's afraid of babies
I mean he got through me, but now
He's afraid of babies
Guess he's scared of what they'll be
Not me
And Mama's afraid of crying
You know she tries to hold it in
But she's afraid of crying
And she can look at me with tears stuck in her eye
And I don't know why
I'm not afraid of anything
Be it growing old or going out of style
I'm not afraid of anything
Who would give up what they want without a trial
Another mile
I'm not afraid
And I feel the calling of adventure
And I hear the ringing in my ear
The lights are glaring
Trumpets blaring
I'm right here
And I hear the calling of tomorrow
And I feel the stirring in my bones
And David loves me
He's afraid to hold me
Listen to the calling of excitement
Can you feel the pounding of my heart
The lights are ready
Pulse is steady
I can start
Never stop the calling of a challenge
Blessing on the water and the stones
And David loves me
He's afraid to tell me
David loves me
He's afraid to trust me
He's afraid to hold me
And he'll always be
He's afraid of me
And I'm not afraid of anyone
I am sure to win with anyone at all
I'm not afraid of anyone
Not a soul alive can get behind this wall
So let them call
And watch them fall
`Cause after all
I'm not afraid

Self Esteem Boost
"Hey, I'm a catch. I do the New York Times crossword puzzle in pen. I... eat vegetables, I have a very good sense of humor and I don't do pilates 'cause I think it's fun. I mean, have you seen me?" - Naomi (Private Practice)
I like that quote. Now, I challenge you to change up the quote. To warm up, change it to be about someone you know. When you're done with that, do it about yourself. Send it to the person you wrote about. Its such a self esteem boost!
I did it about my cute sister Amanda. This is as if I am her:
Hey, I'm a catch. I'm making my own way in Southern California. I...can make a depressed person smile, I know the true meaning of friendship, and I don't parade around how good I am. I mean, have you seen me? - Amanda Robinson
Now I'll say it about myself...if I can. :)
Hey, I'm a catch. I run half marathons. I...take advantage of opportunities that most people would shy away from, I have a great work ethic, and I don't give up on anything just because its hard. I mean, have you seen me? - Lizzie
Do it about someone else and yourself in the comments column. If you read this, you have to do it.

Christmas came early to our house!!!
Finals end this week and the roommates will be heading back to Idaho, St. George, Orem, Taylorsville, and Murray. Which means, time to celebrate! Our house has been decorated since just after Thanksgiving. We have stockings, a tree, and lights around our windows.

We love the holidays. There were lots of fun presents under the tree so I was way excited!
We even lit a fire in our fireplace to help set the mood.

Stephanie's mom gave us all pajamas which we quickly changed into, took pictures in, then continued opening presents. It was so fun and we all gave and received such wonderful gifts.

There is no doubt about it, I am one lucky girl.

Lasts
I'm getting to that time at Westminster when everything I am doing is for the last time. Last day in class, last day in the shop, last weekend as a college student etc...
Why do we look forward so much to things being done, and then when they finally get here we wish it hadn't gone by so fast? As much as I am looking forward to getting out there to make money and memories, I am definitely scared. College is a nice little bubble of protection and its scary to walk out of it.
Wish me luck!

Strike
Obviously this isn't a killer video, but it is interesting to see the set go down. I chose the most depressing song I could think of in the 20 minutes I gave myself to do this. I took a picture every hour or so cause my camera isn't cool enough to have the time lapse feature.
Sad that this is my last week working at the shop. I'm gonna miss it so bad.

Typical
One minute I'm watching The Santa Clause. The next minute Stephanie's door won't open so we have to take off the doorknob and eventually take off the entire door because she couldn't get out of her room.
Totally Normal.

Where It's At -- and Where It's Not
So I'm reading my International Marketing book and I come across an interesting picture. I was intrigued and looked at the source, which led me to this article. Do you want to learn something new today? Read this:
Where It's At -- and Where It's Not
By Nancy Szokan
Sunday, October 2, 2005
I'm talking on the phone to an Israeli writer who goes by the nickname Winkie, and I want to send him some information. "What's your e-mail?" I ask.
"Winkie M, Strudel, Yahoo dot com," he says.
"Strudel?" I said. "As in the pastry?" (I'm thinking: Maybe he has a little bakery on the side?) "You mean WinkieM, then s-t-r-u-d- . . . "
"No, no -- it's strudel , that little A sign," he says. "I think you call it 'at'?"
Of course. With a little imagination, I could see that a slice of strudel resembles the @ sign that separates user name from host in e-mail addresses. "Strudel!" I hoot. Winkie, agreeing that it's funny, later sends me a list of words that people in other countries have used for the @ symbol -- most of them a lot more entertaining (if less efficient) than our simple "at."
The list, it turns out, came from an online site, Herodios.com, and was based largely on research done in the early days of e-mail by linguist Karen Steffen Chung of National Taiwan University. Her lengthy collection of @-words, as well as some additions from Post foreign correspondents, shows that while many countries have simply adopted the word "at," or call the symbol something like "circle A" or "curled A," more imaginative descriptions still hold sway in many places.
In Russia, for instance, it seems that the most common word for the @ is sobaka ( dog) or sobachka ( doggie) -- apparently because a computer game popular when e-mail was first introduced involved chasing an @-shaped dog on the screen. (Don't laugh; Pac-Man was shaped like a pie with a missing slice.) So when Natasha gives her e-mail address to someone, it comes out sounding like she calls herself "Natasha, the dog." "Everybody's used to it," says Peter Finn, The Post's Moscow correspondent, "but there are still jokes -- people say 'Natasha, don't be so hard on yourself.' " Ah, those crazy Russians.
Try this: Look at the @. What does it remind you of? Apparently it reminds a lot of people around the world of a monkey with a long and curling tail; thus, their e-mail addresses might include variations of the word for monkey. That's majmunsko in Bulgarian, m alpa in Polish , majmun in Serbian and shenja e majmunit ("the monkey sign") in Albanian. Or they might call it an "ape's tail": aapstert in Afrikaans, apsvans in Swedish , apestaart in Dutch, Aff enschwanz among German-speaking Swiss. (Many Germans apparently used to say Klammeraffe , meaning "clinging monkey," or Schweinekringel , a pig's tail -- though these days it's usually just "at.") In Croatian, they call the sign "monkey," but they say the word in English. Go figure.
Does the sign make you think of a snail? That's what you might get in Korean ( dalphaengi) or Italian ( chiocciola) or sometimes Hebrew ( shablul, when they're not saying strudel). The French apparently flirted briefly with escargot. "Yes, it looks like a snail," noted one amused Korean. "But isn't it funny and ironic, since 'snail mail' is opposed to e-mail in English?"
Do you see the @ as a curled up cat? That's why it's sometimes kotek or "kitten" in Poland and miuku mauku in Finland, where cats say "miau. "
In Slovakia and the Czech Republic, it can be zavinac , or rolled-up pickled herring. In Sweden, when it's not a monkey's tail, it's a kanelbulle, or cinnamon bun. In Hungary, it's kukac, for worm or maggot.
Danes call it snabel, or elephant's trunk. In the tiny parts of France, Spain and Italy where a disappearing language called Occitan is still spoken, users call it alabast , which means "little hook." In Mandarin Chinese, it's xiao lao shu -- "little mouse" -- which must get confusing given the gizmo of the same name.
Now for the news, also known as the depressing part: As noted by Scott Herron, the compiler of the list at Herodios.com, some of these more colorful images appear to be fading, or are already gone. Many of Chung's correspondents note that their local e-mailers increasingly just say "at."
This might just be a result of the cultural hegemony of English. Or maybe, as e-mail has gone from exciting new technology to spam-filled work tool, it has ceased to inspire as much creativity. Instead you get the mundane Japanese atto maaku -- literally, the "at mark" -- and the Mongolian buurunhii dotorh aa -- "A in round circle."
More strudel, please.
Nancy Szokan, a Post editor, would love to tell people that her e-mail is szokann monkey sign washpost.com, but she doesn't live in Albania.
I really wanted to put the picture from my book in, but I can't find it online anywhere. Sorry. :)

SOLD!
I got another job offer to Stage Manage a show in March/April. It is POSSIBLE that I might be able to do both of the jobs at the same time. 1: That would rock. 2: I would be so rich. 3: I am so excited!
Everything is swinging my way these days! I'm a little concerned about when the pendulum swings back.... But I'm not dwelling on that now!!!!!!

bittersweet
Tonight was the last night of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. It was the last night of the last show I'll do at Westminster. It was so much fun, and I definitely went out on a good note.
I'm so excited to graduate, move on to a higher paying job, experience new places, meet new people, and advance in my "career". At the same time, I'm saying goodbye to an absolutely amazing boss, co-workers that are actually friends that I really love, and basically the place that introduced me to technical theatre. This is where I got my start, so its hard to say goodbye. I had so much fun. AJ might even say that I had, "too much fun." Its true.

The Interviews
I had two interviews for theatre jobs today.
The first one: Just your average "lets talk about your experience, tour the theatre, and discuss whether or not you are interested in working here" interview.
The second one: I walked into a room and sat in front of three people behind a table. They looked at my resume and started asking questions. I was sweating, but I'm not sure if my nervousness showed. I answered all of their questions with ease, they seemed impressed, and the lady in the middle LOVED me. She laughed so hard at all of my jokes and was just so impressed with me. I've never felt so good about an interview in my life! If I don't get the job, I know its because I'm not qualified. Cause if they were going to hire someone based only personality...they would have hired me on the spot!
I also got a parking ticket at the first interview and charged $4 for 50 minutes at the other one.

16 Things I've discovered about myself lately.
1. I have a weird sense of comfort just being in a theatre.
2. I dive into my work whole heartedly, usually at the expense of my family.
3. I will probably be poor as long as I am healthy enough to travel.
4. My sisters get me more than I get myself most of the time.
5. I let music determine my mood far too often.
6. There are very few things I won't eat and enjoy.
7. I'm usually not vocal when I'm angry.
8. School isn't one of my challenges.
9. I am so lucky that I have such an amazing family.
10. I'm really bad at keeping in touch.
11. I live pretty simply.
12. I find my foot in my mouth too often to count.
13. I'm good at keeping your secrets, but not at keeping mine.
14. I hate running almost as much as I love it.
15. I wish I could sing.
16. I make this look easy.

Life after college...
It only took a few days of freaking out before I had a couple of exciting possibilities at my door. Should I go to Mexico for 6 months working in a clothing store based out of Utah that markets to tourists? Or should I stick around Utah for 6 months stage managing a two man show that tours around Utah elementary schools encouraging kids to be healthy and like themselves? OR should I just blow it all off and get married? What do you think?

Secret to Success
FORK has four letters in it. LEFT has four letters in it.
SPOON and KNIFE both have five letters and so does the word RIGHT.
So the forks go on the left and the spoon and knife go on the right.
I will never go wrong again. Why is this the first time that I have ever heard this?

two days in a row?
I woke up this morning feeling refreshed, burned a couple of dvd's and after a brisk walk to school made it to class with a minute to spare. During class we got our tests back. The test I thought I had totally bombed turned out to be a 91%, AND the research paper that was supposed to be due 2 days after I get back from Oregon (Oct 23) got moved to Nov 6. I went to work on had fun building a new project, took a final, and got 98% in my CPR/First Aid class.
Try to name one thing that did not go my way today. I didn't even plan it, and I just ended up having a day almost as wonderful as yesterday!
Now I'm officially on Fall Break and am loving it.

The BEST Days
Decide tonight how wonderful tomorrow is going to be. Wake up, and immediately get excited for your wonderful day. As the day goes on, you will find yourself smiling and laughing at how wonderful this day is. People will comment on your great mood and ask if you "took something" or "met someone". Joyce and I choose a Monday every now and then to do this. It is so fun, and we always have THE BEST DAYS!

The Stairs
The goal: Build the exit stairs that lead down from the stage right balcony.
The facts:
You have already built 3 stairways that have 3, 5, and 6 stairs each.
Each step is 7 inches.
The balcony is 105 inches high.
You have limited space.
Now what?
I have been building the stairs every now and then since the semester began, but putting them together and adding legs to get to the correct height didn't start until Friday.
3 workdays, a half box of screws, 2 truckloads of lumber, many frustrated words, and a few splinters later...the stairs were done. It took a lot of math, much cutting and screwing, and some trickiness, but I think it turned out great.
The Answer:
14 stairs, one platform that adds a stair, and another platform at the 105 inches.

The tallest legs were 103 3/4 inches, and the shortest were 16 5/8. I took a ton of pics, but these two are my favorites, and YES, I was alone when I took these. :)

parties
So I sorta threw a party, and it was kinda a huge success. So weird.
Bests:
- how insanely crowded the dance floor got.
- the many compliments I got on how great the party was.
- it was basically a melting pot of all our friends.
Worsts:
- the stress and frustration of last minute planning and organizing by myself.
- the kid who told me it was a lame party because he parties until 4 am every night.
- the boys who way overstayed their welcome.
All in all, I enjoyed it. Good times were had by all (but one apparently).

- the stress and frustration of last minute planning and organizing by myself.
- the kid who told me it was a lame party because he parties until 4 am every night.
- the boys who way overstayed their welcome.
All in all, I enjoyed it. Good times were had by all (but one apparently).

too many great memories
My summer in Ohio. There was so much work/fun/craziness crammed into such a short amount of time. I made so many wonderful friends and I really miss them. I was completely shoved out of my comfort zone every day I was there. I don't even think this video does it justice, but it might give you an idea...

So fortunate
I woke up way to early, spent most of the day sitting/waiting, was cramped in a window seat for WAY too long, and now my eyeballs are so dry that every time I blink they are being scratched by my eyelids. Yet, at the end of the day I am in Hawaii, in a sweet hotel, and just had a tasty dinner of free pizza.
I feel bad for anybody who isn't me.

its not just business, its personal
Its really weird. Even though I've committed myself to the theatre and definitely decided that I'm going to be a stage manager when I grow up - I'm STILL really interested in my business classes. No matter what, I know that I chose the right major and minor.
I think my favorite part of international business is that we focus so much on culture. Business isn't just about the bottom line, its about cultures and places and how we need to adjust to different people in order to get along and meet a common goal. Its a lot like life actually...
PS: why do people always remember my name, but I couldn't remember a name to save my life?

Here's to Daddy
Every day of my life I realize more how lucky I am. I have the best dad in the entire world, and I'm not ashamed to brag about it.

“Ones best success comes after their greatest disappointments.”
I've spent the last week or so wallowing over what a disappointment this semester has turned out to be as far as my involvement in the theatre at Westminster. Yesterday there was a mini explosion and I realized I had to make a decision. I looked at Joyce and said, "I am over it, starting....NOW!"
It totally worked. How weird is that?

I sorta gave in
I've been pretty determined not to get obsessed with The Office like everyone else around me. Then I moved in to this house and my roomies have all of the seasons on DVD. So I've been watching them lately and even though there are constant screams of, "Awkward!" or "I hate him!!", I really enjoy the show. I just finished the last episode in Season 2 so I'm feeling rather melancholy right now.
Top 3 reasons why I gave in:
1 - I watched it with people in Ohio when we didn't have much else in common.
2 - Jim and Pam
3 - All the guys I'm interested in are into it so I need to know what they're talking about. ;)

Back in the saddle!
So I left Ohio and hated it, then I got home and loved it. I finally moved into my new place with some friends and we are having a blast until school starts and tries to ruin all of our lives. I haven't been posting a lot because we don't have internet and I'm too obsessed with the Olympics to think about anything else. I'll be up and running again in no time.

Imagine
Quote of the day:
"I hate it when songs fade out. It is the worst thing in the world." - Eric Arnold (my co worker)
JUST IMAGINE if that actually was the worst thing in the world. We would all be pretty happy I think.

Party Animal
I was at this party last night drinking lemonade from a can.
I was hyper.
Everyone kept grabbing the can and looking at it to see if I was drunk.
Seriously...I can be hyper without being drunk. ;)

Escape from reality
So I happily disappeared for a while today into AMISH COUNTRY! A getaway with the Relief Society from the Singles Branch here is just what I needed.
Imagine. A cheese factory with over 30 different kinds of cheeses, and FREE SAMPLES of every. single. kind. It was absolutely amazing how tasty that cheese was and how many different kinds there were. Joyce, you would have loved this. I made the purchase of Tomato & Garlic so that I can have tasty grilled cheese sandwiches during my last week here.
Not only did they have every kind of cheese possible (my favorite is Gouda!),
but they also had cream cheese that you tasted with pretzel sticks. Finally, they have somehow managed to make, out of some kind of cream cheese, CHOCOLATE flavors. It was incredible. It tasted basically like fudge. They had chocolate mint, peanut butter, chocolate nut... Needless to say, I was a happy girl.
After a while of that we crossed the street to the bakery where we got to taste different kinds of bread and brownies.
Then we went to lunch.
I am so happy that I am a member of the church so that whenever I move to places alone, I have built in friends. Now I'm off to work where I have no idea what kind of reception I'm going to get...

The future
So I'm trying to think about the future and what I'm going to do after graduation. It basically comes down to the fact that I'm graduating in December and most Master's programs and Theatre Seasons start in the fall. So what am I going to do until then? Right now, I'm seriously considering working on a cruise line for a while. Cruises have great theatres that would help me get some experience. Pro's: Travel to cool places, have basically no expenses, get experience. Cons: Cruises are kinda far away from Utah. :(

My fun apartment
I got home last night and discovered that someone in my building got the internet and didn't lock it. I am SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I also had time to upload these pictures finally.
These are the "rules" for the tag: Take pictures of the following things just as they are, with no stopping to clean, straighten, or to wipe a child's nose: the kitchen sink, the fridge, the toilet, the closet, the laundry room, your favorite shoes, your favorite room, and your kids. Hopefully seeing these will help you feel better about not being a perfect housekeeper. (You're not perfect at it, are you?)

Those dirty dishes are Jenna's. That was like the only time she's ever done that.

If you think this looks empty, you should see it now...

The only abundant thing in my closet is shoes. lol, that is so weird to me.

Good ole laundry room...

My old running shoes are now my favorite shoes to wear during the day because they are so blasted comfortable.

I put this as my favorite room, because its where I spend most of my time vegging out in front of the tv or playing the wii.

I added a picture of my room for good measure. It is usually messy like this on my day off because I'm busy running errands and stuff. I like it though. :)

Opening Night
Last night was the opening night for THE MUSIC MAN. The show went pretty well, and then there was the opening night party.
My favorite quote of the day:
"Why don't you have a boyfriend, you are awesome. You are F-ing AWESOME!"
Seriously, my life is so boring compared to everyone else's. I think I like it that way.

interesting conversations
I was trying to upload pictures for the housekeeping thing, but the internet I'm using is really slow right now. So I'll do that later I guess.
I was talking to the girl who was supposed to be my roomy but is living with her boyfriend instead and I asked the question, "how would this conversation be different if we had been living together all summer? Would we hate each other by now?" Her response was, "haha, ya right. You seem like you would be a VERY hard person to hate." I know its backwards, but it was such a compliment to me for some reason.

This is a picture of Courtney, Linda, and me on the way into the John Mayer concert.

Music Man actually is pretty fun. There are 5 kids in the show too so thats an interesting experience.
I had a conversation with some people in the cast about my nationality. I explained that I am just boring old Caucasian, but I wish I was something cool. Some responses:
-are you sure you aren't anything different?
"Yes I'm sure. Mormon's are really into knowing about our geneology."
-Lizzie's an Eskimo! Yay Eskimo Lizzie!
-Are you REALLY sure though? Cause if anyone was going to lie about having an affair with an Eskimo, it would probably be a Mormon.
Why do I find this so amusing? And why am I excited to go tell them that people in China think Dad is Chinese.

update
I was so annoyed that nobody had been updating their blogs, then I realized that I haven't updated mine in 2 weeks.
Current Happenings:
I went to a concert and liked it.
I'm in rehearsals for Music Man now.
I made friends with my boss.
I am SOOOOOOO close to either ripping the head off of either myself or this one co-worker that I can't stand much longer...or ever.

Tornado Warning
So the sirens freaked me out, and it scared me worse when it was announced that we had to stop the show, but it actually ended up being pretty fun because no tornado actually came.
The audience was asked to move down, so half of them were onstage. Everyone loved being able to be onstage and get backstage tours. The cast mingled, some sang, and the orchestra had a little jam session. It was kinda like an after party - only it was in the middle.

Eric and I - the cool headed assistant stage managers.

How I was really feeling.

I think it all went generally better than I expected it would. This is the 40th anniversary season of Porthouse Theater. They have only had to stop a show because of a tornado one other time, and that was in the first season. I'd say that's a pretty decent run.

99%
I can do 99 things right, but at the end of the day it is the 1 thing I did wrong that I end up dwelling on.
That's frustrating.

This little thing I do
There is a small crack on Stage Left that I can look out of and see a good portion of the audience without being seen at all. During the production of Anything Goes I have gotten into the habit of going to this peephole during the two big numbers of the show. I usually choose one elderly lady and watch her specifically throughout the song, but sometimes I just scan the audience. I watch as at first they look almost bored, then they look intrigued. Occasionally some will smile. I've seen some jaws drop in surprise, people shaking their heads in amazement, and others will lean over and whisper something to their friend or husband. By the end of the song it isn't only the person I'm watching, but the entire audience is into it. They are smiling and pointing and just loving the experience, then when it ends they erupt into applause. Its a weird thing to do, but it is usually my favorite experience of the night. I love seeing how much people are enjoying themselves, especially old people since this show was written in their time. This is why I love theater.

Broken Legs
I'm backstage holding the dog and the lead actress comes up to me and says, "Hey B#*&!" (you like my editing?) :) So I look at her and start laughing as she says, "I was talking to the dog!"
Tonight is opening night for Anything Goes. I'm having so much fun! :)

This week I...
-saw my first raccoon
-went on a hike
-went to a concert by the river (and ate a funnel cake)
-worked 10 out of 12 hours on Sunday for the tech rehearsal
-lost my cool a little bit.
-was so disgustingly sweaty that I might as well have been running through the sprinklers I was so wet
-was cooked for by my roommate several days
-ran around backstage like a chicken with my head cut off
-watched a thunder storm pass by as I sat in my car in the parking lot.

-Somehow managed to love every minute of it.

I don't hate it here
As I was taking a picture I said, "I can show this to my family to let them know that I like it here." The response was, "you like it here?!" "Well..I don't hate it." :)
I'm having a fun time. We're in rehearsal a lot, but it is mostly more fun that work. It's nice to get that constant confirmation that I've chosen the right field. I've also been able to go and take the Sacrament, 2 out of the 3 Sundays that I've been here. So take that!
Jenna (my roomy) brought her Wii to the apartment and I'm beginning to understand everyone's obsession with Guitar Hero. I'm doing pretty good actually. haha.
These are a couple of pictures from the company picnic.

That is Eric, who I spend most of my time with, and Courtney. She's one of the actresses.

This is Liz Talaba. She's the stage manager for our second show of the summer.

its because I'm straight isn't it?
6 days a week rehearsing 10-6. This is insane.
This week has been all dancing and singing. I can't believe how these actors can learn an entire tap number in a day, then sit down and learn an entire song. Actors in school or community theatres have it so easy.
I went to institute last night and met a dashing lad that graduated from BYU "a while ago". Only as I was driving away did I think that I should have asked him if he is a dental student now.
Just because you've never heard of it, that doesn't mean its "a Utah thing."
I have learned how to make coffee, as every intern should. I still hate the smell of it though.
ps: is it sad that everything I know about alcohol, I've learned from theatre?

$162.21
I left Salt Lake Tuesday morning at 8:20 AM. $261.21 in gas later, I made it to Kent State in Ohio. It was Thursday at 4:30 PM. Wow. A round trip ticket from SLC to Cleveland is like $400. So I think I made a good choice in driving. PS The Civic Rocks!
My first few days of work were tiring, but I'm starting to feel more comfortable. I have one neat roomy who is a cutie, and the other one (who I'll share a room with) should be moving in sometime today. We've been saying that for days now and she still isn't here, but I swear...she HAS to be in by today.
I found a church and was able to go to go to Sacrament before hurrying to work. You'd think that a school as big as Kent would have a church or something, but NO...this isn't Utah. There is a singles branch that meets, but they meet at 11 am so I'd never be able to go. Thats ok..I'll probably crash the Memorial Day pancake breakfast next Monday. Yummy.
I went for a 4 mile run this morning and saw like a tiny bit of the campus. This place is so big. Now I'm in the library on the 9th (out of 15) floor. Its pretty deserted up here and I like it. I'll probably check out a book today, but I have no idea how I'll find what I want in this maze.
Everything is goin splendid. I'm happy for humidity again. My skin doesn't feel like sand paper anymore. Love it.

Finally
So...I finally found a computer on this GINORMOUS campus in this HUGE library. Its Saturday afternoon so...I'm the only one here. I think my roomies and I will probably get wireless Internet even though is way overpriced. If that happens, then I'll be a lot more regular with the posts.
For the record: If you take a look at the picture of me with the cone, you will see that it is actually a TWIST cone...not plain Vanilla.
I'm way out of my league here in the theater world. Everyone I'm working with has Stage Managed tons of shows and most of them are either Seniors or have degrees in Stage Management. Whatevs. I'm hoping that my natural talent, desire to learn, hard work, and all that jazz makes up for my lack of experience.
The GPS thing is ridiculously awesome...I'd be lost without it. More updates later!

In Nebraska living the good life
The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I stopped a couple of times, made good time, and am ready to go party it up in Northe Platte, Nebraska!

The awesome sunglasses Dad gave me. So comfortable and effective!

In honor of Dad

I almost stopped for another 50 cent cone in Cheyenne, but I made the wise decision not to.

It took me probably 15 seconds to set up the camera and take this picture (including the 10 second countdown). I love my new tripod.
